Amazing
Simply amazing. We stopped at all of the overlooks on the southern rim and were amazed at how different the canyon looked from each.

The most developed area of Grand Canyon National Park, the South Rim offers amenities such as bus service, hotels and water stations, but is also more crowded than the North Rim. Scenic highlights include Pipe Creek Vista and Yavapai Point.

The view was spectacular and pictures didn’t do it justice for just how big the canyon is! Lots of parking, shuttle services between areas which we took when we got to the end of the trail.

Proud to be an official resident of the Grand Canyon! There is no bad view! Everywhere you look it is breathtaking to behold this natural wonder! Definitely worth planning a trip to the Grand Canyon! The south rim is extremely well maintained with natural trails accessible for everyone to enjoy!

August at the Grand Canyon was a pretty great time to be there. Yeah, it got hot by mid-day but if you get up early and get in the park and hike down about a mile before 10 AM, it makes for a great experience without the spring and fall crowds. Wear walking shoes!!Be very responsible if you walk down to the first bathroom…it is a serious effort to walk back out and if you are not generally fit you become a danger and a burden for park ranges rescue squad. 100% carry more water than you think you need if you hike down for 30+ minutes . Guided tours will help you learn more and spot petroglyphs…I was with someone that had knowledge and could point them out, so we didn’t do a guided hike. The rim trail is a mix of paved and pea gravel and you can hop on and off the busses as well. The wind was significant at the rim so hold tight to your belongs(hat/sunglasses/small kids).
